This T-Talent Spotlight series comes in many categories including the Talent Series, Vibrant Catholic Youth Series, Catholic Youth Animator series etc. Today’s edition is Talent Series where we have featured the outstanding and glamorous Oma Pitch who is a devoted catholic and vocalist. She has graciously accepted to to answer out team on some basic questions concerning her journey. This will inspire alot of youths out there especially young ladies aspiring to explore their God given talents. Enjoy!

Meet Oma Pitch

1. In a few words, who is Oma Pitch?

Omapitch is a dedicated Opera singer ,
I am a professional classical and operatic singer from Okwudor, Imo State. I hold a BSc in Psychology from Imo State University, I am Catholic, and I am the founder of Oma Pitch Gallery and the Oma Pitch Challenge. I am committed to raising a new generation of vocally disciplined singers across Nigeria through my social media platform.
An Entrepreneur and a Positive minded person.
My passion for music has broken limits for me, right from my young Catholic chorister days, I have endeared the tides of time through discipline and hardwork.
I will always say, that God loves me so much.
In the Opera space Nigeria, The Name Omapitch rings volume.

2. When did you discover your gift for music, and what inspired you to use it for God?

I discovered my gift for music from a very young age through church activities and choir participation. As I grew in faith, I realized that music was more than a talent, it is a part of me. Seeing how worship could touch hearts and transform lives inspired me to dedicate my gift completely to God and mankind.

3. What role has your Catholic faith played in shaping your music and ministry?

My Catholic faith is the foundation of everything I do. The teachings of the Church, the Sacraments, the Holy Eucharist, and devotion to prayer have shaped both my character and my ministry. My music is an expression of my faith and a way of leading people into God’s presence.

4. Is there a Bible verse, saint, or quote that guides your life? Why?

One verse that guides me is Jeremiah 1:5: “Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you.” It reminds me that God has a purpose for every life and that my ministry is part of His divine plan. It keeps me humble and focused on serving Him faithfully.

The Journey

5. What has been the most memorable moment of your music ministry so far?

When I got an immediate invitation to Jerusalem after a performance in St Joseph Chaplaincy IMSU, That experience and honor meant a lot to me and shaped my Music Life.

6. What message do you hope people receive whenever they hear you sing?

I want people to know that God loves them deeply, that His mercy never fails, and that no situation is beyond His power to transform.
Believe that You can do it, It is just a matter of time.
Your breakthrough will surely come.

7. What challenge have you faced as a Catholic artist, and how did you overcome it?

One challenge has been balancing ministry with personal growth and life’s responsibilities.
Many at times Temptations and provocations comes from priests, Colleagues but Through prayer, discipline, mentorship, and trusting God’s timing, I have learned to remain focused and believe in my gift.

8. What advice would you give to young Catholics who want to develop and use their talents for God?

Stay close to God. Develop your talent through practice and learning, but never neglect your spiritual life. Your gift becomes more powerful when it is rooted in prayer, humility, and service.
And most importantly NEVER SAY NEVER!

9. What does success feel like, and has it affected your spiritual journey in any way?

Success, to me, is fulfilling God’s purpose and positively impacting lives. It has taught me gratitude and reminded me that every achievement is a gift from God that should be used for His glory.

10. What is the one thing you will always thank God for?

I will always thank God for His grace. Everything I am and everything I have accomplished is because of His mercy and guidance.

11. Name two persons in the Catholic Church who inspired and contributed significantly to your journey.

  1. Mrs Rose Igbojekwe, my dear mother who encouraged me to join the choir at my very young age.
  2. Prof. Anwuka who took me to Jerusalem, It was a shining path to my journey

Inspiring the Youth

12. In one sentence, what is your vision for Catholic youths today?

My vision is to see Catholic youths become fearless witnesses of Christ, using their talents and faith to transform society.

13. Do you think we need more initiatives like The Ten Talents Initiative in the Catholic Church? Why?

Absolutely. Such initiatives help young people discover their gifts, build confidence, and understand that their talents can become instruments for evangelization and service to the Church.

14. What message would you like to leave with our readers and fellow Catholic youths?

Never underestimate the gift God has placed within you. Stay rooted in prayer, remain faithful to Christ and His Church, and use your talents to bring light into the world. The future of the Church depends greatly on young people who are willing to answer God’s call with courage, excellence, and love.
